About Us:

We wanted to start something different. We wanted to offer you an alternative social network that was centered around you and user experience, not making millions off of selling your information. We wanted to give you a place to be yourself and meet new people. So we created Fakepals.

Fakepals encourages users to branch out, meet new people and make as many new friends as possible. Remember the good old days when you could add as many friends as you wanted even if you didn’t know them? You can't do that on your other social networks because people will think you're weird. That’s what Fakepals is for. Let your other social networks manage your real friends and let Fakepals manage your not so real friends. Fakepals also gives users the ability to easily share with close friends or with the world. Users can meet new people and explore great ideas with the world using the "public" stream (have your post seen by the world). Users can also share an unlimited number of photos because we believe you shouldn't limit creativity.

Behind the Name:

The name Fakepals was chosen because we wanted to make it transparent to users that contacts in this social network can range from close friends, family members, people you keep in contact with or people you don't even know. We wanted to make a platform where you can add users just for the fun of it.
